“Beta Dylan’s awake,” Reina informed me. 


I tossed aside the third vial of blood I’d drank. Amber’s blood was healing me quickly. My leg hardly hurt anymore. Hopping off the exam table, I followed Reina to the room where Dylan was being monitored. 


“How are you feeling?” I asked, stepping up beside Dylan. He’d shifted back to human after being bandaged. 


“Better,” Dylan mustered. He tried to sit up and winced. 


I put my hand on his shoulder and held him down. “Don’t. Rest and heal.”


“Yes, Alpha,” Dylan said. He sighed and relaxed. “Oh, Cami…”


“I know, she’s still on the loose,” I relayed with a nod.


“I’m sorry. I couldn’t get her,” he apologized, his eyes darkening as his face fell. 


“We’ll get her,” I assured. “Just get better.”
