Chapter 87 : A Trip to the Dungeon

It was getting late. I got a bath running for Ken in his ensuite bathroom. He was going on and on about all his new toys and how he couldn’t wait to explore the massive backyard tomorrow.

“Ken, get in the tub,” I said, laughing as he spread his arms out and circled around, making airplane noises.

He hopped over the edge of the tub, landing with a splash. I held my hands up, like that would stop water from drenching me.

I groaned and grabbed the nearest towel. I kept an eye on Ken as I dried off. The linen closet still had a few guest items, including a short, silk robe. I took my wet shirt off and put the robe on over my pants. At least, it was dry.

“Sorry, Mommy,” Ken muttered.

“It’s okay. Here, play with these,” I handed him a few bath toys.
