I could hear it even in my office, the sound carrying through the mansion. The long corridors and echoing chambers were known for their great acoustics.

There were times in history, when the family had rented out portions of the house as concert halls for select events and recitals. Much like how we had hosted the mayor’s gala.

It was part of the tradition of public service that was always upheld by the Petersons. The family motto wasn’t quite “with great power comes great responsibility” but close.

What had to be two hands playing the beautiful old piano caught my attention. None of Olivia’s students were nearly that good the last time I’d heard them.

Following the sound to the parlor, I saw Olivia on the piano bench, cozied up next to Uncle Anthony, making beautiful music together.
