Chapter 132 : Nothing Can Tear Us Apart

I felt terrible about arguing with Jaxon over Antonio. Jaxon was only trying to keep me safe. And the more I thought about it, the more I realized that Antonio really wasn’t such a great guy anyway. He had held me hostage. He had killed Cynthia. And while Cynthia definitely wasn’t one of my favorite people, that didn’t mean she deserved to die.

It was probably wrong of me to get jealous about Cynthia too. I just couldn't help it sometimes because of everything I had gone through with her.

I decided that I would make him dinner to apologize. I wasn’t the world’s greatest cook, so I brought in help. It turned out that Teddy, in addition to being a world-class hacker, was a gourmet cook too. I didn't know how he found the time, honestly. But I sure was grateful for the help.

"Now the thing you want to do with tomatoes is to make sure you use salt," Teddy said, and he sliced one for the salad. "It brings out their flavor. Not too much, just enough to season it."
