When Sara walked in again her demeanor was different. She seemed more positive and confident.
"What’s going on?" I couldn’t help but ask. She sat down in the chair across from me and looked at me expectantly.
"I’m ready," she offered.
I raised a curious eyebrow.
"Ready for what?"
"Ready to talk about moving forward with my books. I want to talk about presenting and making more of a public face. If people like what I’m doing, I want to put myself out there," she explained.
I suddenly felt worried and concerned. This was a different attitude than the one she had been displaying. Something about this felt off, and it felt almost like she was hoping to make herself more vulnerable.
"What?" I couldn’t help but question. I was proud of her and knew this was part of what happened. She had just come in and talked about it, but I hadn't thought about all it would mean. I couldn’t handle this change in her. "Do you really think that's a good idea?"
