I was about to ask Jaxon what was on his mind, but then Camilla started getting restless, squirming around in her chair. I thought it was just as well. There was no use analyzing every little single thing Jaxon did or said.
"Someone's ready for bed," Jaxon commented with a chuckle as Camilla yawned widely. I got her out of the high chair and started changing her into her pajamas.
"I hope bedtime will still be as easy with two instead of one," I commented as I helped Camila lay down, covering her with a light blanket in the crib.
"Unlikely," Jaxon laughed. "We'll figure it out, though. Can I read to her today?"
"Of course," I agreed instantly with a smile.
