Chapter 292 : Paroled

It was over! No more bed rest! It had taken weeks, but to my mind, it had felt like months, or even years!

I was so excited!

"The baby is perfectly healthy, and the crisis has passed," the doctor said, looking over my latest bloodwork. "That's not to say that you should necessarily go out and run a marathon. Go slowly at first, pace yourself. You've been on bed rest for awhile, and you're not used to being up and about."

Of course I understood what the doctor meant. And it wasn't as if I was about to start running around like a maniac. But I felt as if I had been granted parole. Being absolutely anywhere other than in my own bedroom felt like heaven to me. I took out my phone and dialed.

"What are you going to do first, babe?" Jaxon asked, gray eyes glimmering in amusement. "Shopping? Or out to lunch?"

My husband knew me well.

"Both," I replied with a wide smile as Lauren answered my call. "Lauren, I'm out! I'm free! Can you do lunch and shopping today?"
