I was happy to spend the day with Jaxon at home. The kids loved it almost as much as I did. It was nice to be a family like this, all together. I knew it hadn’t really been that long but it felt like a long time since we were this in sync together. 


Camilla was trying to watch her iPad, and started falling asleep on the screen. I chuckled a little and turned to Jaxon. 


"I think it might be time for a nap," I whispered. 


Cameron was also starting to get a bit more whiny. Jaxon nodded. 


I picked up Cameron since he was closest to me, and Jaxon got Camilla. They only fought us for a little bit, but they both resigned quickly. Camilla was practically asleep before we got upstairs. I carried Cameron to his room and put him in the crib. He only cried for a little bit until I handed him a stuffed toy. Then he relaxed more easily. I smiled and kissed him softly. We tucked them in and put on their little nap music before heading back downstairs.
