*Harper*
“What the h*ll do you think you’re doing?” Alexis asked, running in front of the cops and holding her arms up like she could stop them from aiming their guns at us.
“Alexis!” I cried.
“You can’t arrest him. Harper and I were kidnapped by Gia and held against our will in her basement. Oliver just saved us. Screw your restraining order!” she snapped.
“Miss, get out of the way,” the officer said.
Oliver still held me in his arms, and I wrapped my arms around his neck. I didn’t want him to put me down. My ankle hurt, and my arms and legs trembled, the adrenaline from my encounter with Gia leaving me quickly.
“I’m the one who called you guys, remember?” Oliver asked. His eyes narrowed as he glared at the cops.
“We got a call from inside the house as well,” the policeman said. “And regardless of who called, it doesn’t change the fact that you violated a restraining order.”
