Without knowing how, the stained glass windows that adorn the back wall of Dora's house explode. The instant is so heartbreaking that it takes me a moment to comprehend what is happening. I scream and the wolves at my sides turn in fright to see what is going on. That precise instant of bewilderment is enough for Levi to jump the distances and shift. With an atrocious roar he runs at an impossible speed and pounces on one of the wolves.
