“Hey Sophe, we’re back,” I tell my friend softly, “We wanted to see how things are going in here. How are you feeling?” 


Sophie is panting, and her grimace clearly communicates her pain level. I fearfully glance at the doctor, and she looks as worried as I am. 


“The baby is coming,” the doctor tells us, “We couldn’t delay labor any longer. Sophie is still weak, so this isn’t going to be easy.” 


Hope nods and takes out her potions. I grip the stone in one hand, and hold Chloe in my arms with the other. Elliot is holding Toby, and I can tell by his expression he is terrified. 


“If it’s ok doctor, I’m going to put my healing and protection balms on Sophie,” Hope says, “It’s to help all of this go more smoothly.” 


“I can’t see a medical reason why not,” the doctor replies, brow furrowed, “I’ve heard of such things before, but I’ve never seen them. But is that ok with you, Sophie?”
