I am suddenly glad that I answered the unknown number on my phone. Usually I tend to ignore calls when I don’t know who it is, but I had a feeling that I should answer this time. 


“What’s going on,” I ask, concerned for my friend, “What’s happening?” 


I just saw Hope a few days ago, and she was doing well. It seems strange to me that she could fall ill so quickly. 


“She has a high fever, and she can’t get out of bed,” Dan replies sadly, “I’ve sent for the doctor. But, do you think you and Amber could stop by and have a look at her? Maybe bring the twins? I heard what they were able to do for Sophie. I just, I don’t know how much help she needs.” 


“We’ll be right there,” I tell him, “Try to get her to drink some fluids in the meantime.”
