“Well, that was a dead end,” I sigh, furious that they’ve managed to get away, “There’s no one here.” 


The Serendipity is docked where it is supposed to be, but it’s empty. We’ve been watching for three hours, and the person who was supposed to do the handoff hasn’t shown. The person behind all of this has once again eluded us. 


“I guess they figured out I wasn’t going to be there,” my Luna says, “That means they’ve been watching us.” 


“Definitely,” I respond angrily, “And it begs the question, who is feeding them information? As we all know the guy we took down is definitely not smart enough to be able to send a signal himself. He’s been in lockup this whole time.”
