Chapter 126: The accusation

***

Amber’s POV

“I’m able to track all of our people through their phones, in case of emergency,” my husband tells us, “As long as Tabby has her with her, we should be able to pinpoint her location.”

I hadn’t thought of that. I hope that Sam hasn’t thought about it either. He can’t be thinking clearly if he abducted her in public. That could be our advantage.

“I have her location,” he tells us, frowning, “This doesn’t make any sense. It says that she’s still here, on the terrace.”

We run to the terrace, and we don’t see Tabby. Then I spot her phone, hidden in a potted palm tree by the door. I pick it up, and I see that she’s left a tiny post it note in her handwriting on the side. It reads only, “Daisy.”

“He must have forced her to ditch it,” my husband says, “But she was able to leave this note without him noticing, which is good. Do either of you have any idea what this means?”
