"Well, now what?"

"Well now, I need to stay here until I do. I already said I will, I never go back on my word, Amore."

"Wwwwhat? Then we will go this afternoon!"

"Nope, can't do. Dr. Martin is busy today. Joe said we can maybe go tomorrow."

"Maybe??"

Carolyne started to laugh behind me. I turned to her confused. "Why are you laughing?"

"Hahaha, you two." She pointed at Nathan and then at me. Trying to control her laughter. She continued "I have never seen Nathan interact in such a way with anyone." Giving us a silly look.

"What's going on with your face?" I pointed to her face. "Why are you looking at us funny?"

"Whatever, I don't even want to know." Throwing my hands up in the air. Looking at Nathan. "I will deal with you later."

"Oh, I can't wait." He said with a wide grin.

Rubbing my forehead, I started walking to Joe's study. Looking behind I see Carolyne saying something to Nathan and then running to catch up to me.

The study room door was closed. Giving two knocks, Joe shouted. "Come in"

Walking in, Joe sat behind his desk studying some documents. He looked up, giving us a wide smile.

"Amore."

"Joe, I came to introduce my friend to you, this is Carolyne, my best friend."

Joe stood up stretching out his hand to Carolyne. "Hello Carolyne, I am Joe. It's nice to meet you."

Carolyne took his hand. "Hello Joe, Nice to meet you too."

"Joe, Is Nathan staying over again tonight?" Joe went behind the desk taking his seat again, folding his hand on the table looking at me.

"Yes, he is."

"But, WHY?"

"He can accompany you." Joe smiled.

"What…? I have Carolyne. She can do that!" I elbowed her, telling her silently to say yes.

"O no Mia, I have a shoot tomorrow. Unfortunately, I cannot."

"A shoot for what?"

"I'm a model Mia, and quite a famous one." She flicks her hair over her shoulder dramatically.

"Amore, you have two weeks of free time before you start your internship. Go to the beach, do what young people your age do. All you have been doing is studying. Take these two weeks and do all the things you always wanted to do." Joe said

I looked at Joe. "But why can't I spend it with you?" I gave him a pout.

"Why do you want to accompany an old man, and who said I'm free?"

"What plans do you have?" I folded my arms in front of me.

"I'm going fishing with Eric."

"Fishing? From when do you fish, and who is Eric?"

"Nathan's dad. His been asking me for a while now to join him. Then I thought why not."

He shrugs his shoulders. "Stop asking so many questions and go spend some time with Carolyne." Shooing, us off with his hands.

"Okay, okay we are going." We hurried out of the study.

"Mia, do you want to go to the diner near the beach, I am rather hungry?"

"Yes, Please I am also starving."

Walking out the door. Nathan sat on the porch.

"Where are you girls going?" he asked with one eyebrow raised.

"To the diner near the beach, do you want to join us?"

"Yes of course."

I looked at Carolyne, saying with my eyes. Why are you inviting him? Carolyne ignored me and walked straight to her car.

She drives a red Jeep wrangler.

Nathan quickly followed her and climbed into the back of the car. I watched them from the porch. Nathan rolled down his window, shouting… "Are you coming or not?"

I walked to the front passenger side and climbed in.

We stopped in front of a small diner. Climbing out we walked toward it. Walking through the doors we took our seats in one of the booths. Nathan took his seat next to me and Carolyne sat on the other side of the table. A pretty young waitress came over, she has a shapely figure, her blond hair is tied up in a long ponytail on top of her head, wearing a light pink diner dress, matched with a pink apron that is strapped around her waist. She seems to have chosen one size too small and, also forgotten to button up the top three buttons, her breasts almost popping out.

She gives us our menus. Looking at Nathan, she took out her pen biting down at the back of it. "Good morning, my name is Sandy, I will be your waitress today. How can I serve you today?"
