Chapter 40

When Connecticut saw Traeger by herself she was surprised. The destroyer was hard at work, criss crossing the harbor as she delivered prescriptions. The submarine waited until she was done before she decided to approach. Best to let a healer finish her work. It was healthier that way. “I’m surprised my sister isn’t following you like a puppy dog.” She said. Traeger chuckled. “Carter had to leave a few days ago. An assignment out in 3rd fleet’s AoR.” She replied. “So you’ve got a couple months to yourself.” Connecticut mused. “What’s it like so far?” She asked. “Different. She’s a quick study. I’ve been showing her a few things.” Traeger added at Connecticut’s confused look. “You’re teaching her how to be a healer?” The submarine asked. “No but a few extra medical skills never hurt anyone.” Traeger replied, gathering up the rest of her supplies and heading for her dock.
