The One Night Stand

Light…

Bright lights.

No.

It's probably the sun rays or something.

Vincenzo opened his eyes, scanning the ceiling in pure silence as the images of the night before flashed in his head.

Damn.

She is one unforgettable lady…

Vincenzo glanced at the innocent soul by his side. Her hands were wrapped around his waist and her hair covered more than a quarter of her face.

Without much thought, he drew her hair behind her ears, a lovely and peaceful face came to view.

An image of her arching towards him as he worked some magic between her thighs flashed in his mind.

A mischievous grin plastered on his face. Last night he felt like a tiger ripping out an innocent prey and here he was dumbstruck by her innocence.

Many, many, many things he could do to her right now but he knew this sort of scene way too well; she would wake up screaming and pointing fingers at him.

Not that he'd been in such a situation before but he could swear that would be the result of such a passionate night.

She looks like the type to throw a fist and for some reason, he was excited to see that fire in her eyes…

Excitement? When was the last time he felt that? It was almost like it never existed, that part of him that looked towards something so little yet intriguing.

Vincenzo slips out of bed without clothes and heads toward the bathroom. He needed a warm shower to relieve all the crazy thoughts in his head.

Looks like he got himself some walking temptation.

This isn't good.

"Fuck!"

Vincenzo muttered; he had a meeting this morning and unfinished business with Cherry.

The perfect person to start his day with her continuous nagging and false admiration for his family.

Vincenzo had to figure out what to do with the lady in his bed first. He didn't want her selling her rather compelling story to the press. This whole thing could have been a setup but one thing he knew for sure is that that lady is

UNFORGETTABLE.

He couldn't deny that.

The sound of the front door slam shut made him pause for any other sound but he got nothing. He turned off the shower and put on his bathrobe.

Vincenzo couldn't believe he found this whole situation a bit funny. The lady was gone and so were her clothes and purse.

Here he was thinking he was had some answers to give but here he was, having a lady sneak out on him

Vincenzo sights a note on the bed…

Should that be a guy's thing? leaving notes and apologising?

I'm sorry for barging into

your room. I sincerely apologise

And let's just forget last night

ever happened.

Vincenzo squeezed the note in his hand, a bit annoyed by the note she'd left.

If she's going to apologise, she might as well do it for the rest of her life…

In his bed!

No woman leaves him hanging like this.

None!

Vincenzo took his phone from the dresser and dialled Quin's number.

"Boss"

"Get me all the details you can find about the woman who just stepped out of my room" he ordered

"Right away boss"

Vincenzo tosses his phone on the bed, his features furrowed in anger.

How could he forget last night? Seems like he wasn't memorable enough and he was down to juggling back that memory of hers!

<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>

Hazel slammed the door to her apartment shut behind her back while trying to catch her breath. She had hurried down the stairs of that hotel, flagged down a taxi and literally couldn't sit still all through the ride.

She had the vague feeling she'd been followed but every time she glanced back, nothing.

Okay, maybe it was all in her head.

Hazel didn't have the time to think about the craziness that happened with her and Jason last night.

She needs a warm bath and a lot of rest. Hazel made sure all her doors were locked and the curtains down before going for the shower.

Images of last night creeps into her mind.

Jason had tried to poison or drug her!

It's obvious now that he'd drugged her but why? Why would he do something like that?

He seemed like a perfect gentleman and she had no reason to think he could do such!

The handsome ones are the fearful ones, like they say…

Not the man she was with last night…

How could she get such a night out of her mind?!

His broad shoulders, and those tattoos…..and those strong arms around her and those lips that work magic on her skin.

Hazel felt her knees buckle at the very thought of last night! It was a wild one and now in a million years could she forget that.

She'd panicked when she woke up earlier that morning after realising what had happened.

She's been with a total stranger! She'd walked into his suite uninvited and had walked out of it with something to remember.

She was way too embarrassed to face him and pretend nothing happened so she left a note instead and hurried out as soon as she could.

Just when she thought her life would get less complicated, this happens…

Hazel took a towel and dried herself, staring at her face in the mirror.

"What the…." She muttered as she leaned even closer to see love bites on her neck. There were bits on every part of her body

Her thighs, neck, chest…

It was like he was marking his territory, showing just about what he owned of her…

She could cover up but her neck? What if Rina shows up?

She would ask a dozen questions and she would have no choice but to tell her friend what had happened last night.

Speaking of Rina, Hazel hurried to her room to grab her phone; there were over a million messages from Greg and a few from Rina.

They were both worried that she hadn't called them and it was getting pretty late. Grey asked for the address to the restaurant, threatening to ruin the whole evening if she didn't come back home before twelve.

Now he was acting like her dad or something.

Rina told her to enjoy the evening and have an explosive night.

Yeah, she had one night of craziness alright.

Hazel laid down on her bed after putting some clothes on and went straight to sleep.

The shower seemed to magnify how sore she was and now, the best card to play is for her to sleep for as long as she possibly can.

After eight hours of uninterrupted sleep, Hazel woke up starving. She didn't eat anything since she got back and her dm was flowing with replies from both Rina and Greg. They both said they would be coming over to see her later in the evening as they were both stuck with work for the rest of the day till nighttime.

Hazel had successfully slept through half the day and the remaining half was already heading for nighttime.

Hazel pulled her heavy self to the kitchen to prepare something she could eat. Waffles seemed fine to her although she would normally eat them in the morning.

Who cares?

She had no use for how to feel and she needed to talk to her friends at least. Her mind was still fussed and all she wanted right now was some delicious waffles melting in her mouth.

Nothing else.

Hazel mixed herself a batter and turned on the Waffle maker. Taking them, one batch after the other, she scooped the very last of the batter into the Waffle maker.

Returning to the pile on her plate, she dressed it with caramel syrup and some raspberries on the top.

She was in the mood for anything sugar, just a bit close to tossing some grapes into her Waffle…

The front door swung open, the couples marched in with a worried look on their faces.

Maybe she shouldn't have told them Jason was a jerk.

"What did that piece of shit do to you?" Greg asked, scanning Hazel's face for some sort of fear or something.

"Good evening to you too" Hazel replied

"What happened Zel? You could have texted us last night!" Rina snapped

"How could I text you when I was drugged and barely thinking straight Rina?" Hazel asked

"WHAT?!" The duo chorused

"Welcome on board," Hazel said heading to the living area with her mountain of waffles.

"Jason drugged you?" Rina asked, confused

"Yes and sat there watching till I was unconscious," Hazel said, biting into a Waffle.

"How could you eat at this point?" Rina asked

"Because I am alive and still breathing so why not?" Hazel asked

One thing she learned was never to go too deep into whatever thing could trigger her attack.

She's finally taking her therapist's advice seriously and hopefully it works.

"You know Rina, if you had just let Hazel be and not dragged her into some stupid dating site, this wouldn't have happened!" Greg scolded

This is exactly what Hazel was trying to avoid
