Castor's Training & He's Gone!

30 Castor’s Training

After dinner, Arryn wanted to work on helping Castor get his wings and learn what he could do.

Arryn changed into a kilt with his family tartan, black boots, and a black belt with a black leather sporran hanging down the front. Castor was in black athletic pants, sneakers, and like Arryn, no shirt.

Arryn led Castor out to a cliff; a full moon lit up a cloudless sky.

"What if I don't have wings and can't fly?" Castor asked without expecting an answer.

"Can you trust me to catch you if you fall?" Arryn asked, gazing up at the moon.

Castor nodded," I do."

"Good, then trust me now!" With those words, Arryn jumped up, released his wings, and flew off the cliff's edge.

Castor turned and faced Arryn hovering in the air.

"Listen, you are a descendant of the heavenly hosts, close your eyes and find the light in you... Then leap; imagine your wings emerging from your back... I'm here to catch you. I will not let you be harmed... Castor, I love you."
