Barriers vs Determination Part 3

Holy shit.

I remove my helmet in a panic and attempt to get out of my ship to assess any damages.

Oh fuck. Why did I do that.

After just a few steps I'm right at the exit door and my head lightens. My vision blurs and I stumble back to one of the seats.

How could I forget that my body is not used to Earth's atmosphere? Wait, maybe if I put my helmet back on now I can salvage my breath.

I anxiously secure my helmet back on.

My breathing is slightly strained but doesn't feel like anything dire.

I feel for the button I installed at the side of the seat and press to recline.

My lens lids become heavier by the minute but I fight to keep them open.

Fingers lightly tap against windows

My wooziness subsides for a moment while my heavy lens lids shoot open. I freeze. Maybe if they think nobody is in here they'll just leave.
