Chapter 11

Roxy was on the floor. Weak, stressed and almost out of physical energy. That was until she heard a very familiar voice which came with series of sealed memories as it spoke to her.

“Get up Roxy you can do this, that's cuz you're strong. That's why I created you to be the better version of myself”.

The voice that spoke to her was non other than her Primary Persona, her real personality that she had sealed up in order for Roxy to exist.

Her name is Kara.

Though being born by an elite hero, growing up was really though on her. Roxy possessed no form of special ability and was thus, remarked by her overly egoistic father as nothing but an abject disappoinment. He wouldn't even stop to look at her as if she wasn't of any existence. Her pride as the daughter of a well renowned hero was completely washed away even when all others knew her for was that she's daughter of Lord Supreme. Everyone bullied her due to her insignificance, no one acknowledged. After becoming fully aware of all her flaws and inferiorities, she decided enough was enough and created her own ALTER EGO. One that would make a name for herself without even trying or breaking a single atom of sweat. One that would reign supreme above all others and fight for the very name of justice itself as a hero, even without powers. One that will make an impact in this world that will forever be remembered. And what's the name of this certain person? I believe you've met her before. Her name...Roxy Reddfoxx.

“So stand up and show her what you really stand for!” Kara spoke as she called out with a rather weak voice, showing the rage a weak girl that was in distress could express.

And Roxy responded sharply to the call.

She managed to get herself back up but kept on staggering on her feet, though this wasn't the outcome she had expected, but she wouldn't let that stop her. She knew her sister was powerful but she'd never experienced her power first hand, all her attacks were futile against Frosty. She finally managed to fully regain balance and was ready to face Frosty one more time.

Frosty formed a little piece of ice, precisely the size of a bullet and shot it directly at Roxy. It went straight through her right shoulder as blood spilled on the wall directly behind her. She went back on her knees, held herself back up again and cleaned the blood on her lips. Her eyes weren't filled with anger this time, but determination.

The feeling of being inferior had already rubbed off her face cuz right now, she believed that she had long surpassed her opponent.

Frosty clapped her hands as she slowly approached Roxy. “I have to admit, you are strong, but the fact would still remain that you don't have superpowers therefore, you are inferior to me”.

“You haven't won this fight yet, it isn't over” Roxy said.

“Why do you persist, even after knowing you don't stand a chance. Is it so you could save a friend, why would you struggle so hard for something like that?” Frosty asked.

“That's because the one you are trying to kill doesn't deserve it” she replied as she picked up her baton and checked herself for any other damage, after tying a piece of cloth on the stab wound “He is more than just a friend to me, the best person I've ever known. Everytime, every second he lives, he barely cares for himself. All he tries to do is make everyone around him happy, even when we don't ask for it. He brought us abnormals together so we can all see ourselves as one. Because of him I'm proud to call myself one. Because of him, I was able to become strong. He changed my life and many others. Though he can be awfully mysterious, he is also very influential in his ways, more than you can imagine in fact. And what's more, he's the reason I get to kick your butt today”.

“That was really inspiring” Said Frosty. “To think that you could admire someone so much when he can't even dream to hold a candle against father”.

“Why would he need to dream about something like that, when he's got way bigger aspirations?”. Roxy cooed.

Frosty could feel it. That's right, no matter how much she tried to stop herself from accepting it, she felt a bit intimidated at that point. She couldn't help but wonder where all that courage came from.

Roxy stood firm with utter boldness, she swallowed all the pain, anxiety, anger and converted it into pure physical strength and rushed in for an attack. She flung her baton as it appeared to be moving much faster this time, Frosty created a powerful ice barrier to try and block it as she expected an explosion after it touches but Roxy pulled it back before it made contact then flipped over the barrier and got behind Frosty. As Frosty turned to cover her back, Roxy held her right arm, she yelled and landed a frightening punch on her abs which sent her hitting a wall across the road. The punch left a mark on Frosty's abs as blood spilled from her mouth after hitting the wall. That attack knocked her out cold!

Roxy gazed at her sister's unconscious body nonstop as the fight indeed was already over. While she clenched her fist.

The citizens were completely filled with awe as they watched her defeat. To them, Roxy was a villain who had just defeated a superhero next to the bureau. They weren't sure wether to panic or not as She wasn't paying much attention to them. So they started taking pictures and muttering, questioning themselves what was happening, and it was indeed ticking her off. So she gave them some severe warnings and they all ran away.

Though she felt accomplished as she had warned them of the possible dangers they could face if they stayed and asked them all to evacuate. But the reason they left was out of fear of the whole bad guy vibe she was giving off as she strongly instructed. Either way, they were still running for their lives.

The road was clear, after affirming there was no by standers in sight, she went back into the bureau with all her sense of reasoning intact. She couldn't help but worry what others could be going through, this was initially supposed to be an extraction mission but it all went way beyond their expectations. She wondered why the heroes were willing to do anything just so they could defeat Ego. Even if it meant beating up a bunch of teenagers, even if it meant killing an innocent person. What exactly is going on here?

She made her way into the bureau and saw a body fall out through a window from a couple of floors to the ground, right in front of her. It lasted for a few seconds then faded away. There wasn't any splatter of blood which made her question.

“A clone?” she mumbled.

She looked up to trace where it fell from then moved when she located it.

“Someone's fighting. Its either Kyle and the others, or the professor. I have to warn them about this odd feeling I'm having that's causing me to worry this much, I don't like this at all. I've got to finish this!” she said as she sprinted through the hall way and came across an elevator, then went in and started heading to find the others.
