Amber, Floyd, and Gwen comforted Erik, though they struggled to understand the concept of being robbed.
Living in the city's most affluent sector, they were protected by extensive security, and even if a thief got inside, there was so much wealth in their houses they wouldn't even notice.
While they knew robberies were common outside their privileged area, they hadn't expected Erik to become a victim.
"Let's bring the others back and then go to my home. My father will be glad to make your acquaintance," Amber said.
If not for Erik's suspicion that the Stone family and Amber's family were behind the robbery, he would have thought this felt like introducing a boyfriend to her family.
Of course, he remained silent. This could be a trap, but Erik was inclined to think it wasn't. Yet, he wasn't so naïve as to not even think about the possibility.
After ten minutes, everyone met back at Amber's car and headed to Gwen's house.
