After their conversation, Master Nieminen and Erik returned to their training.
Erik gave his best, searching for openings his master might give him. He couldn't find any. He tried to strike when he felt he saw a chance, but Master Nieminen blocked each attack.
The older woman watched her student with satisfaction, though. Erik learned much about the Flyssa in a short time.
She praised his progress and told him to keep practicing, telling him to be patient when learning.
Erik knew most of his improvement came from his high dexterity. The hand-eye coordination depended on it, after all.
Though, his intelligence also helped. Erik tried to downplay his improvement, but the woman was stronger than him and easily noticed.
Erik attacked. Master Nieminen made a simple movement, characteristic of her sword style, and deflected his attack.
