The next time Yami woke up, she was, finally, in her dorm. She looked around to see that Akuji was not in her bed, nor in the room. Looking at a clock on the wall, she noticed that she had slept in far more than she had intended. It was almost ten o'clock, which meant that Syrums Class had already been finished. Yami panicked and practically jumped out of bed, digging through her drawer to get her uniform. After what seemed like forever, she finally found her dark uniform and hastily pulled it on. She brushed her hair quickly with a comb, although it didn't matter much, and pulled it up in two large pigtails. She didn't even look at herself in the mirror as she always did to look decent, so she had no idea if she looked "clean" or not. She slammed open the door, grabbed her bag, and ran out into the dark halls, noting that they were empty.
"Just what I get for being late!" She mumbled to herself, making her way to the History of Evil class. She felt immensely tired and sleepy as she stumbled through the halls, trying to be quiet so that no one would notice she was late. When she entered the main hall, where the three major classes were held, all of the students stopped talking and turned to face Yami, in fear. It was understandable…she had injured Rosa…she did have psychopathic powers…she certainly wasn't normal. But to act like this was just…weird.
"She hurt Rosa…she got a punishment!" A girl with black hair and small red horns whispered to a friend nearby. They all cowered in fear as Yami simply stepped forward, just trying to forge her way through and get to her class, and her friends. However, she was stopped by a rather odd-looking girl. She had pals white skin and white hair as well. Her eyes were pitch black, and she was about two inches taller than Yami herself. She looked a bit snooty; but not bad either. Almost like Mari. However, her aura was more…dark and all that.
"You're Yamisora Hoshikiri, right?" She asked, and Yami nodded for a reply. The girl nodded and added on. "I've heard about you. You see, I've just been transferred here from the Light Academia, unfortunately my flower had been incorrect. Just like you. But mine…it took longer to process. I had wondered why I was at the Light Academia. I didn't feel like I fit in," She mumbled on, and Yami's eyes widened. This girl had the same problem as her. But to this girl…it was less of a large deal. She seemed to not fit in the Light, but Yami felt she didn't fit in with the Dark. Two opposites.
"Yes…and are you gonna introduce yourself…?" Yami hastily said, wanting to get to class as soon as possible, but this girl was getting in her way. She seemed rather fine, though…she wasn't offensive, really, which Yami appreciated. She kind of understood Yami…in a way. The girl cocked her head and then smiled.
"I…I don't remember my name, exactly. But…I remember being called Kira….so you can call me that. I know it's a simple name, but…yes. And I think my next class is History of Evil, are you going there too?" Kira asked, and Yami nodded quickly, as she wanted to go to class very much. "Alright. Let's go then, shall we?" Kira added, and suddenly things got uncomfortable as they walked to their class. They hadn't ever met each other before, so you could get the feeling.
The two entered the History of Evil class together, trailing behind a few other students. The class seemed cleaner than usual but were still badmouthing each other and insulting each and everyone rudely. "Oh yeah, Kishi's the worst of the class!" Some said and snickered behind whoever "Kishi" was's back. They all started to listen when Ophelia snapped her fingers to silence them. The room went deathly quiet.
"So, there's been a bit of a misunderstanding," Ophelia said sharply, not daring to look at Yami. "A girl who supposedly was supposed to be in the Light isn't now, and we welcome her. Come up," She announced, and Kira quickly got up and moved nonchalantly towards the front, where students inspected her every feature. They didn't criticize her, as she was almost as tall as Ophelia herself and she looked rather frightening. Ghostly pale…scary white hair…pitch black eyes that could mesmerized anyone near them, even the goddesses themselves…"Do you have any abilities you would like to share?" Ophelia asked after about a minute. Surprisingly, Kira nodded her head.
"I can shape-shift into anything I want whenever. I just have to focus on the eyes of the living thing, though…and then, ka-ching! I can be you. Does anyone want me to try it on them?" Ophelia looked like she wanted to disagree, but she let Kira go on and actually have a pinch of fun. Katsu raised his hand enthusiastically.
"Me! Me!" He shouted, raising up his hand high in the air. Kira laughed and nodded, agreeing. "So I just stare at you too, right??" He asked, practically bouncing. His eyes lit up when Kira nodded once again, and soon enough Kira's power would start to show. They stared at each other for a good long while until finally, Kira's body morphed for a few seconds, every inch of her body changing. Getting thinner, getting shorter. All of the sudden, she looked exactly the same as Katsu! The class applauded and acknowledged this new student.
"Try me! Try me!" A lot of the class yelled as if they were children. Their normal, cold attitudes were replaced by enthusiasm and excitement for once. "PLEAASE!" The whole class shouted one more time, and it looked like Ophelia was stifling a laugh. Kira morphed back into her normal self and picked on Akuji, who was raising her hand actually quite politely and quietly. The two stared at each other without breaking the concentration, and Kira turned fully into Akuji, and the real Akuji opened her mouth in awe. She actually looked impressed for once. Giving a thumbs up, Akuji turned her head down to her studies quietly. She really wasn't the one to be loud and obnoxious…unlike the others. Yami believed that perhaps Akuji could even be able to admit into the Light Academia…but that couldn't be possible, since you get what you get, unless your flower or skull turned into vice versa. It was very rare…but it was possible. In fact, Yami had no central idea why Katsu, Kirai, Akuji, Sachiko, and her even were at this school. They weren't even villainous…or so Yami thought.
Turning her head to Yami, Kira said something. "Is it okay if I morph into you? Just as a test!" Kira questioned, and Yami nodded slowly, thinking about it. If Kira morphed into her body…wouldn't that mean that perhaps she could hold Yami's powers and accidentally destroy this place? Brushing off that thought, Yami stared at Kira with great concentration and waited for a result. However, when Kira tried to morph into her, she fell to the ground in pain, clenching her stomach and arm in pain. "Agh…" She moaned, and the whole class turned their heads to Yami accusingly, as if she had done something wrong to the new girl. The thing was, Yami had no idea but felt immensely terrible. Ophelia's fave turned to worry as she picked up poor Kira and motioned to the class to stay.
"Stay, please. I need to get her to the hospital. Stay here. If you don't…" She raised an angry eyebrow at Yami, who simply stared off into the wall, unsure of what to do or say. Just as Ophelia left, all of the students of the class, except for Akuji, Kirai, Katsu, and Sachiko, ran over to Yami and started beating her up.
They punched her face, called her a demon. She tried to raise her hands to stop all of this, but it was no use. They were going to continue, and she couldn't escape it. They hit her, they kicked her, and even managed to punch her nose. She felt like she was in the Torture Prison all over again. She winced in pain until Katsu came up and yelled for everyone to stop. "STOP IT! IT'S NOT YAMI'S FAULT ABOUT ANYTHING!" He yelled, but everyone was too loud and too aggressive that they could not hear him over the noise. Yami's eyes filled with tears as she was bullied and abused. She closed her eyes and tried to exit out all the pain, but it was near impossible, and she wished it could just be over. The other thing she saw when she could still open her eyes were black clouds floating around everyone, and they all passed out. Finally, Yami could have space. She looked at herself in the window as she shakily pulled up. Katsu ran to her and made sure she was alright.
"Yami..are you okay?" He asked gently, and Sachiko, Akuji, and Kirai ran over to where they were and started helping Yami up. She rubbed her eyes and winced from the undying pain. "Yami?"
"I'm..I'm fine," She mumbled, and Sachiko hugged her, which actually made the pain increase even more, but Yami didn't tell her that. "When w-will O-ophelia come b-back? She asked, stuttering. Sachiko let go and looked at her with apologetic eyes that made Yami feel comforted inside.
"I don't know…she should be ba—" Just as Sachiko was about to finish, the doors slammed open and Ophelia stepped in, gaping at the limp bodies of the unconscious students. However, she quickly averted her eyes to the injured Yami, who was very much beaten up. She looked extremely sympathetic.
"Oh, Yami…I'm…I'm sorry…" She came over, and actually hugged her, though she had been holding a grudge against her a few minutes ago.
Then, Yami had to go back to her dorm and rest. What an…eventful day.
