It took a week to take down the knights' camp. After calling it their home for two years, there were paths and other marks scarring the earth that would never be forgotten and serve as a reminder of the war that they endured.
Once the wagons were packed, each group started slowly leaving the grounds around the duke's tower.
First, the wizards left towards the southeast, certain that they could handle the path ahead. They had collected vials of the poison while the duke's tower was being cleaned up and were determined to figure out the poison and send out healers with new knowledge.
The next to leave was the Royal Knights of Peroda who could travel much faster since they had fewer men and fewer supplies. Their plan was to alert King Alfred of their victory and present documentation of the assumed death toll and the plan moving forward.
