Burdens Just Beginning

Despite the worrying feelings, once the knights were off of their horses, Henry ran forward and launched himself in a way that was surprising for someone of his size. Luckily, most of his weight was sent to Trenton who easily caught him before he could hit the ground.

Sir Alix crossed his arms and one of his light eyebrows raised. Just as when they left, the greeting was that of a dog who hadn't seen its master in weeks. The commander must have been tough on Henry since they were out.

"Henry," Sir Trenton greeted the younger knight. "Awfully cruel way to meet someone who's been on horseback for two weeks."

Henry stood up and straightened himself out.

"Yet you still caught me," he said with a grin.

The youngest knight then grasped Maximus and Alix by the shoulders.

"I'm so happy to see you all alive and well," he said. "It really has been almost two months, hasn't it? Just as you said it would."
