Only the Beginning

The commander, being in the front of the pair, was the first to be hit full force by a goblin, but it would certainly take at least four to do real damage to someone so experienced with a blade.

Callum had angled his blade so that it was blocking him diagonally and giving his other hand easy access if needed. The moment the goblin jumped forward, he could throw it backward.

It was stunned enough that he was able to pierce the monster into the ground. The hardest part of the exchange was pulling his sword from the ground after going through the goblin.

Henry dodged around the commander in the scuffle with the goblin and ran towards the others.

However, it was strange to see goblins who weren't set on fighting. The ones that didn't attack first started running off in different directions.

Henry's only assumption was that they had faced people before and found this the best way to handle situations.
