The knights stood outside of the cave, the shuffling sound of something moving in the furthest reaches.
From where they stood, they couldn't see very far into the cave because there was a sharp turn inside before opening up to the main cavern.
"What could it be?" Henry whispered.
"Shh," the commander responded and put a gloved finger over his lips. "Listen."
He reached down and picked up another rock that filled up his hand when completely closed, knowing that size would make a loud noise to alert whatever was in there to come out.
He tossed it towards the curve and it clattered as it hit various walls then settled down.
Sure enough, the croaking noise of goblins communicating and the shrill screeches they let out when surprised echoed off the cave walls and reached the ears of the waiting knights.
Considering that was where the commander was determined to sleep that evening, he pulled out his sword.
