Nonexistent Issues

The commander and his second in command stood in a mostly empty hallway as the guests of the palace left to the far stretches as it started getting later. They seemed to be in a staring contest as a palace worker walked by them, forcing them to hold their tongue for a few moments.

When it came to the Royal Family, they had to tread lightly in that place. Any words perceived as negative towards the royals could be punishable in a variety of awful ways.

Alix had brought his chalice of wine with him into the hallway and he slowly sipped it, testing the commander's patience even further.

"What do you know?" he demanded.

It wasn't a question of if Sir Alix knew anything but what it was.

"Aren't you a bit protective of Henry?" Alix asked.
