A Life Changed Forever

Commander Lothian and Sir Alix couldn't have predicted something more horrible to happen in front of them. Yet, it being Henry, they figured it shouldn't have been such a surprise.

"Henry!" the commander shouted, horror evident in his tone.

Henry might have given up on the kelpie but his body hadn't given up on throwing him into dangerous situations.

Time slowed down as Henry dove forward with his hunting sword drawn. The blade wasn't long or thick and, despite sinking it firmly in one of the lion's lungs, he unsheathed his onix sword at the same moment with his left hand and swung it clumsily in the air before sinking it into the lion as well.

Despite all of Henry's time using his left arm after being injured, he was still far from ambidextrious.

The lion screamed and hissed while thrashing against the offenders. However, its large paws only seemed to hit the dirt ground and it never landed one on the knight or the prince.
