Man of the Hour

The three Knights of Hydrogia who participated in the hunting competition arrived at the palace when the feast was in full swing. They all wore dark cloaks–the crisp autumn air biting enough to warrant a few layers– and slipped them off as they walked through the door.

The Royal Family was in the front, greeting guests as they filtered in and Henry noticed right away that the princess's eyes were on him even before he found hers.

Just as she requested, he wore the royal blue silk tunic she had the seamster make for him at one of the previous banquets. She smiled appreciatively that he listened even though she felt strange about the way she had behaved earlier in front of so many other people.

Despite his smile at the princess, Henry and the other knights greeted the king first, all bowing before him to show their undying loyalty to the crown.

When the three knights stood, the king set his grey eyes on Henry.
