I Don't Want You To See Me Like This

Henry's voice led Irene to believe that he had been pining for her the way she had been pining for him while they had been apart. There was something relieved yet desperate about his utterance of her name.

As her eyes searched his face and she got a better look at him, she noticed his jaw was a bit sharper. He had certainly lost weight while going through whatever he had been through in her absence.

For once, she felt she was allowed to return his affections and she reached forward, wanting to feel him as well. Her heart hoped this was the first step of many to come.

However, when she started reaching toward him, Henry pulled away and his eyes broke away from hers.

"I don't want you to see me like this," he said.
