Chapter 34: Maria
Ymir sat there surprised as he realized this,
(Wait if I suddenly became a dad does that mean... nah no way, but she's cute though, uh uh nope, come onnn,No! pleaseee, arrrgh!!!) he thought while in having mentally fighting if he should be a father or rather just neutral
while Ymir was busy juggling his mind, the girl looked at him with confusion seemingly confused as to why Ymir stopped moving,
feeling the girl's gaze Ymir came back to reality and asked,
"is there anything wrong little one?"
the girl hearing this shook her head sideways and said,
"No, I'm fine really" she said shyly,
(she's quick to adapt but sadly she's still too green since she easily trusts anyone without even a second thought or is she acting just to act tough...
"oh I see very well then proceed on what you were doing don't mind me I'm full(that's a lie)"
the girl nodded and proceeded to eat,
Ymir noticed the girl was slightly dirty he then reached his hand towards the nearby river and scooped a large amount of water and presented it to the girl in which she accepted and drank a mouthful of it,
right after that Ymir poured it onto her slightly cleansing it the rest are up to her to clean,
the girl was surprised when Ymir suddenly poured the water onto her but understood what he meant by doing that,
after washing the girl Ymir moved near the river and gently laid his hand on the ground,
the girl noticed this and jumped down the river and started cleaning herself whilst Ymir turned around and started seasoning the food before it could attract more beast and insects,
the girl turned around and saw Ymir walk away but only for a few meters which she could clearly see him,
she smiled realizing Ymir was not leaving her, not that she's an attention seeker or clingy type of girl she just wants to be safe and she was rarely treated nice almost on a second to none existent she almost lost hope until Ymir appeared,
she was still wary of him but not in a bad way even though he treats her nicely nor does anything bad to her, it's not bad for being a bit cautious right?
as she was Minding her business she heard a growling sound in which she turned around and saw a black scaled crocodile coming slowly towards her,
when she saw the beast approaching she started to panic and scream loudly in which angered the beast making it move faster and jump on the water and started to swim towards her,
the girl swam toward shore but was too far and the beast was getting closer and closer but the girl still attempted to swim faster until her muscle started to ache but she still persevered but to no avail her body gave up and the beast was getting closer,
her body slowly sunked under the water and she began to lose hope because she thought that her scream wasn't loud enough for the giant to hear but she was happy Because once in her life she was loved,
(that is worth dying for) she thought as she began to reminisce about her short time with Ymir,
as her consciousness Started to fade suddenly a pair of large hands appeared, the first hand smacked the reptile's head making it lose its consciousness and the other taking the girl from the water,
the girl's Consciousness returned to her slightly and felt Ymir's hard yet warm hand she smiled because she was happy that someone still cared about her,
(Summary of what happened the girl was so happy that she didn't noticed that she drifted further away from shore and was surrounded by giant trees)
Ymir was worried but was also relieved because the girl is still alive,
(whew, I thought I lost you there I'm sorry) he thought as he used his Qi to pour out the water inside her and heal her sorr and damaged muscles,
the girl was now healed and was sleeping soundly Ymir smiled and covered her in leather so no predator can see or smell her (not that they even have a chance though),
a day went by and the girl finally woke up seeing herself covered in leather,
"Mr.giant what is this?" she asked,
Ymir turned his head and saw the situation the poor girl was in he cried laughing as he saw the resembling image of a specific food back then,
(pfft! puhahahahaha! she looked like an overcooked burrito hahaha) he said inwardly,
"eh? what's so funny?" she asked,
"no nothing I just remembered something here let me help you" Ymir said as he unwrapped her and also trying to hold back his laughter,
(I'm unwrapping a burrito~) he jokingly thought,
the girl was finally unwrapped he saw a splendid scene, the girl's skin which was covered in bruises was finally healed and became milky white her golden hair shone even brighter when basked by the light of the sun,
(hmm, hmm~ she's the cutest definitely my daughter) Ymir proudly thought in full dad mode,
the girl also noticed the change and suddenly cried Ymir panicked,
"are you okay little one, is there something going on your body?" Ymir panickly asked,
"N-no I'm completely fine it's just
Ymir patted the crying girl's head,
"there there, it's good now you're safe away from harm" he calmly said,
the girl nodded while wiping away her tears,
"poor child do you have any memories of your parents or relatives? cause if you have I'll send you to them though it will be difficult for me to convince them that I'm friendly hehe..." Ymir said slightly sweating,
the girl heard this and said,
"I don't have any memories of my parents or anyone close to me I grew up in a cell where my blood is always extracted"
(those bastards! I'll make you pay for what you've done) Ymir thought,
Ymir looked at the girl and asked,
"may I know your name little one?"
"its... Maria" she answered,
