CAN'T I ACT LIKE A REAL BOYFRIEND?

The next day, to hide the bruises on her wrists from the zip tie that she forcefully broke last night, Belle wore a white long-sleeved blouse and paired it with black skinny jeans. They dropped Neon and Andrei at the school gate and watched them get inside the campus.

"Are you meeting with Allen after shift?" Eli asked while driving his car away.

"No. We will be meeting during lunch since his schedule got changed."

"What about me?"

"Ah? What about you? What do you mean?" Belle questioned with confusion evident on her face. "I cooked food for your lunch. You can eat them in the office."

"Alone?"

"Uh...Yeah? Unless you want to join us. I mean, I don't mind you joining us since Allen thinks we're an item. It would be natural that you'd come with me."

"Then, I'll come with you guys. I don't want to eat alone in the office. It's boring."

"How did you get your lunch when I wasn't around, by the way?"
