On her way back to the cafe, her head was full of thoughts of the Vespa that seemed similar to her Vespa. Soon as she reached the cafe she was about to park the bike but went against it, turning the bike toward the dark alley. The very place where she had left her bike early this morning. Just to make sure she put her mind at ease. But the very instant she glanced through the alley she could not take her eyes off it.
Her heart paced fast as she got off the bike, not forgetting to grab the keys. She glanced behind suspiciously, walking through the alley cautiously, and stood exactly where her Vespa was once laying her hands on her hips. Her cleanly trimmed nails clutched the black sleeves t-shirt tucked into her autumn brown knee-length skirt.
Sighing out she glanced down cursing under her breath. Not soon her frown lines deepen at the sight.
There was a white chit lying on the floor inked in blue with a 'READ ME' on it. Alice kneeled on the floor and took hold of the folded chit. She cautiously opened the paper in her kneeled position only to be welcomed by a single straight sentence, 'Thank you for the Vespa, dunderhead!'
The very ridiculing latter word was enough to boil the lava in her. She stood up in a rage, straightening her black thigh-high stockings, and left the place immediately with a wave of fuming anger.
The only place she predicted where her bike might be. She wasn't sure it was her bike but headed to the house next to the old couple's. She parked the scooter and opened the gate in hast, only to stand frozen. The bike was gone. Alice was alerted. She ran toward the door and knocked on it nonstop. She heard someone cursing from the other side and the approach of footsteps. Seconds later, the doorknob turned, causing her to stop her constant knock on the wooden door.
Alice took a cautious step behind, just in case whoever the person she was to face, she had to be on her guard. Not to remind the old grandmother's words, the people residing were youngsters. There was no saying they weren't vampires. They can be anything.
The door went, 'CREAAAAAK!!!' with her thudding heartbeats. Alice clutched her skirt tightly with her clammy hands. Angry as well as nervous, but as soon as she laid her eyes on the person, her breath hitched.
Through the white open door came the most expressive eyes, expelling the list of night's sleepiness. Messy, blond curls tugging and falling in every possible way. A tall guy stood with an unbuttoned crumpled black silk shirt which stood out with his clear blue eyes, reminding Alice of the soft blue sky, the color of a river hurrying to join the great ocean.
She felt the time stop at the sinful sight spoiling her mind the very moment she laid her eyes.
"-ello... Miss? How may I help you?" she heard his voice deep and sharp. A lazy yawn escaped his lips which he stifled, raising his large hand and dragging it up, he ran his fingers through his curly locks. Those blond locks looked soft to her eyes.
Alice gulped down her dry throat and cleared her throat, trying to divert her mind. Looking straight into his eyes with her reddened cheeks she spoke, "Uhh... do you perhaps, know where the Vespa which was parked a while ago over there is?" she questioned, not batting her eyelashes. She tried hard not to look down.
Taking Alice off guard, the man stepped out of his house and gazed out in the direction where she showed, "A Vespa?" he questioned as he slid his tongue over his visible fangs. He was a Vampire! Alice's eyes widened as she turned more alert than she already was.
"Y-yes, a black one," she gave out hopefully.
"I don't recall owning one of them," he said confusedly as he glanced at Alice, "What's the matter?" she heard his question. It sounded concerning. Alice snapped her head to her side only to suck in her breath sharply. The wind that blew dragged the loosely hugging shirt backward, giving her the sight of his muscled upper body and his grey joggers that loosely hung around his hips.
Alice's hand raised burying her face in her palms and rubbing her cheeks as she shut her eyes tightly and mumbled embarrassingly, "Could you please dress up," she squeaked as she peeked through the gaps between her fingers, expecting him to understand her.
"Apologize me, miss... I just got off my bed as soon as I heard the constant knock on the door," he said, scratching his head. Embarrassed of himself, he buttoned up his shirt skittishly.
Alice found his reactions kinda cute, 'How can a person be cute and handsome at the same time?' she thought as she stared at him putting her hands back to her sides.
"I'm Zavior," he extended his hand out of the blue, introducing himself.
Alice extended her hand too, "Alicia Ander-" she was baffled when she felt his soft lips on her cold skin, stuttering her, "-son" A tint of redness spread her fair cheeks.
"Why don't you come in and tell me about the Vespa in detail? I'm a cop, for your information..." he filled in with a polite smile. "Please come in, Ms. Anderson," he gestured for her to step in, welcoming her.
Alicia hesitantly entered the house.
'TRUST NONE. ESPECIALLY THE BLOOD-SUCKERS!!!' Screamed her mind. But as soon as she took two steps forward, she was welcomed by the delicious aroma of Apple pie. Her tummy growled at the smell of food embarrassing her.
"Why don't you join the breakfast with us? Though it seems late you're stomach screams empty, Ms. Anderson," he invited her teasingly, adding more color to her pink cheeks.
She who was observing the surprisingly clean living room frowned at the mention of 'our.'
"Our?" Alicia questioned out loud. She didn't mean to, but she did. She didn't realize it though as she was confused as to who was he addressing. 'Perhaps, his girlfriend? Fair enough' thought Alicia. Given the fact that he was a handsome and cute guy, a cop at that, and observing the super clean house, it must be it, she thought.
The very very next minute another guy stepped out of what looked like a kitchen, letting her jaw drop down. A guy who wore nothing but a cute green knee-length short and an apron hung around his neck shirtlessly.
'What in the holy god was happening here?' she screamed in her mind stopping from her track.
