"Were all of these done by the guards?" He questioned with a raised brow, his eyes narrowed at the sight of it with a hint of anger.
Alicia felt a pang of unease upon his question. "Tha-That...they..." She tried to get up and explain.
"Stay still."
His stern voice had her stop in the middle.
She wondered if she should tell him. She hesitated for a moment before she shook her head. "No."
"What do you mean? Who else got involved in it?" He questioned as he continued to clean up the wounds and took a transparent jar that had a half-used yellow ointment in it.
"Ah!" When Adrien's finger brushed against the wound to apply the paste, Alicia let out a barely audible whimper.
Her thoughts tormented the images of the agony she had experienced in the dungeon as Adrien continued to treat her wounds. She battled to control her emotions as she felt the pressure of those traumatic memories pressing down on her.
