AT THE BALCONY OF THE SMITH MANSION

Emilia was standing quietly looking at the calm garden brighten by the moon's light, the sky was cloudless tonight and she lost herself in it.

" It beautiful isn't it?"she heard a hoarse voice beside her, and was startled not that she was afraid it just that she didn't expect him to be there, hearing his words she nodded politely before resuming to look at the sky again and after a long silence she heard.

"Years ago when I was still a kid I thought people who die become stars like those up the sky!" Leon said trying to make a small talk as he wanted to take her attention and it seem to work as she eventually turn to look at him who too gave her all attention.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Leon asked blushing over her intense gaze now that she was not wearing her mask, her stunning beauty was so visible to him.

Her clear black eyes and long eyelashes blinking lightly as she stare at him.

"Tell me the truth Leon what do you think about me, was your brother not wrong?" she asked her voice turn softer with each word she altered, hearing that Leon moved in front of her then looked onto her eyes seriously making her nervous.

On the other side two people were busy peeking outside the window giggling happily lost in their own spying mode but that was until they heard another person's voice.

"What are you two doing?" Mr Smith asked looking at his parents in disbelief.

"Shhhh! it about to start" grandma Smith dramatically placed her finger on her lips to shhhh him but then others came too and she did the same before resuming her actions of watching outside happily and they too follow her gaze only to find what she was looking at.

After a long staring competition which didn't seem to bother them Leon said.

"If I tell you that I didn't think about that at all would you believe me!?"Leon said calmy yet seriously looking at her in the eyes.

Their faces were now very close making her a bit uncomfortable yet she didn't hate their closeness at all she smiled at him shyly before answering softly.

"Of course I believe you if we are talking about you I did believe even if you say you forgot to breathe" she said teasing him and smiled making everyone who was watching wonder what were they talking about? but Leon had this puzzled silly expression.

"Am I that bad?"he asked innocently looking at her as if he was about to cry Emilia couldn't help but laugh softly the guy was so cute like this.

"Ahem! No it just that you are you someone special I have never seen anyone like you before"composing herself she said a bit serious so that she seem sincere making him blush in the process.

"Wait was that a compliment?"he asked dramatically looking at her cheerfully and they both laugh lightly making others who were looking at them surprised. 

"Never knew my brother could flirt with a woman like this" Joseph said whose eyes seem to almost popped out over what he was seeing

"I know right he is a man after all but hey who wouldn't flirt with a woman like my future sister-in-law she is just so alluring oh who would have thought the heiress of Smith family wear a mask not because she is ugly but freaking beautiful, I can see someone is so worked up I mean serve him right for being such a jeck " said Joanna looking at her older brother who seem busy looking at the two laughing at unknown joke, jealous rise in his heart everyone could tell he regret his decision very much.

"You tell me, after all how can I bad-mouth my future husband" Emily said teasingly not knowing how much her words changed the mood

suddenly they turned to serious mode as her words reminded her of their impending union that would change their lives forever.

Leon looked at Emilia who now noticed what she just said, avoiding his gaze shyly as he kept staring at her for sometime now before he decided to take her soft hands gently onto his, he could feel how soft they were,

although he had contact with her before this was the first time he pay attention to their touch, her feminine scent and softness of her skin made him feel a bit uncomfortable but in a good way though, Emily looked at him and their touching hands surprised that she didn't react bad over the contact.

Usually she did get disgusted being in contact with a man but strangely she didn't seem disgusted with him, in fact she felt very comfortable around him maybe it because she has already decide to marry him or was it because he didn't have the disgusting lustful face that most of the men she met would give when they see her.

"Should I just go with the wedding? these two are already too much now" father Smith said dramatically almost crying with happiness, his daughter finally was able to open up to her life first she took off her mask something she did never do unless you skin her alive but today she did it and all because of the young man who changed her life now she was even flirting with him openly.

"Look at him, what are you talking about they haven't even kissed yet ..too much my foot hmph!!" grandma Smith said clearly bored by her son's words making everyone turn their head

hearing that Mr Smith was speechless how can his mother be this shameless.

" Look Emilia your father and I had a deal ..that he did forgive my family and stop bothering them only if I agree to marry you" Leon said hesitantly but touching her hands even more gently as if she did break, while looking at her eyes searching for any reaction but saw nothing. She knew! that was what he thought.

" I know... and I am sorry that he did that to you, my father could be too hard to people sometimes but I know he didn't mean any harm, he is just worried about me.. so if you are not comfortable with all this I can talk to him" Emilia said softly clearly feeling bad about it and somehow sad, she wanted to withdraw her hands from his but he held them tightly.

" Emilia! ..."he called her so affectionately that made her heart skip a beat how can he call her name like that nobody can call her name very well like he does, instantly making her melt forgetting what she wanted to do.

" Your father doesn't want you to know about it..like you said he must be real worried about you that's why" he said honestly his blue eyes staring at her all the time he spoke.

"Then why are you telling me about it?" Emilia asked confused.

" Because I want you to know that if I'm going to marry you it not because of your father's threat or my family problems, although they became part of the reason however I agree to marry you because I truly like you and respect you, I want to take care of you like my own, remember what I promised you at the rooftop that's exactly what l want to do... I won't let go of you " Leon said sincerely touching her hairs gently while looking at her eyes lazily making her dazed she couldn't comprehend what was happening and his touch was not helping she kept looking at him speechlessly.

"So miss Smith if we are going to get married I want you to do it all heartedly I don't want you to get married to me or anyone just out of pressure or pity I know that my family is in dare state if I fail the deal and we could be in great trouble but that is just our problem I would never blame you if you walk out of this deal if you want to, also I'm sure your father would never blame you" Leon said thoughtfully making everyone who listen to his words feel uncomfortable, were they too hard not to consider the girl's feelings?

about this even Mr Smith was taken aback the guy truly cared about his daughter this made him even more determined to get them married.
