Moving Out

The explosions that happened from the fire igniting the petrol in some of the cars had helped to create enough noise to draw in the zombies to behind the hotel.

Those already close by were swept up in the explosion and either died or were heavily injured.

The explosions set off had triggered the car alarms around them if they did not trigger more of the cars to suddenly explode after getting caught up in the blast and igniting what was left inside the petrol tanks.

Any other flying debris had flown out to hit nearby cars and zombies triggering more damage to the zombies in the area and triggering more car alarms.

Any zombies on the floors below or above the cleared floors that were staying inside of the hotel rooms nearest the back had been drawn towards the noise resulting in them falling to their deaths if they made it past the obstructions blocking their path.

Brick and Tanya did not wait around to see how effective the plan had been and instead went to the ground floor.

Many others were behind them standing on the stairs while Brick slowly opened the door as quietly as possible.

His head slowly poked out to look towards the right side after he had gotten a decent view of the left side through the gap in the door.

He saw that there was nothing very few zombies left on the ground floor of the hotel that would obstruct the way.

Silently signalling to the others who were holding onto the sheets that were tied around the harmless zombies to move forward.

It took some effort to get the zombies safely down some floors but luckily Brick had used his barrier to occasionally halt their movements as they were falling so that they could be pulled back onto a step and regain some form of balance.

The amount of floors they had to descend were few so it was not that much of a task to complete before everything else was completed.

The zombies were pushed out of the door as they slowly stumbled forward wrapped in bed sheets or other things to help bind them up a little and control them from afar.

"Hrr."

"Haak."

The driving force that controlled them to attack and eat human flesh was still there but without their hands and teeth to use to do so, they became like docile animals that had lost what made them so dangerous.

The need to eat could not be achieved even if they tried to do so.

The humans in front of them could not be eaten no matter how they tried to do so.

The humans around them had lost the attractive smell too so they had even less reason to attack.

Once pulled around by the sheets or whatever was wrapped around them in some way, they would occasionally let out a moan or snarl but would continue in a direction they had been pulled towards.

There was four of them that had gone through the door on the ground floor and loitered around for a moment.

Footsteps were heard near the door which had been held partly closed until several figures appeared near the zombies that were wrapped up.

More zombies that were still in doors on the ground floor had made their way past the door as Brick signalled everyone to remain silent.

One lollipop was in his mouth as the sugar and crystal nucleus that made it had provided him a refreshing feeling as he could slowly feel his energy rising back to its best state after using his barrier more than once.

Tanya had one in her mouth too after she had used her fire ability earlier while everyone else was without one.

Brick had yet to fully trust and integrate anyone else into his group so there was a limit to how much of his own stuff he was willing to share with others especially if they could just leave later.

If he was to establish some form of survivor or zombie hunting group then he needed those that could be relied on and trusted over just having anyone that he just happened to come across.

There were some minor plans in mind for the future and to look for some potential allies but his first task was getting out of the hotel and getting back to the Reed Residence.

The two groups of zombies met up as one was curious about the other as if they were investigating if they were from their own kind.

Upon picking up the scent of them, they lost interest then started to move further towards the front entrance to follow the movement outside.

The larger group of zombies moving outside had been far more eye catching to them so they began to move towards that direction.

Listening intently to the noises nearby, Brick calmed his nerves before signalling for to go.

No unexpected surprises appeared as he stepped out and was slowly followed by Tanya, Buffy and those behind them.

He signalled them to stand in the middle of the zombies that were harmless then pulled the zombies at the front slowly towards the door.

He arrived to see that the street had mostly cleared up but there was still danger lurking around for anyone careless enough to draw attention to themselves.

Brick had studied the movements of the zombies and their movement speed so he stepped outside onto the streets making similar movements trying not to draw attention to himself.

The crowd behind him slowly emerged from the hotel main entrance and looked onto the street that they barely recognised anymore.

It had not been that long since they walked those busy streets and checked into the hotel but everything had changed so quickly.

If it was not for Bricks previous warnings about them not losing focus then they may have frozen in place the moment they stepped outside.

The world they once knew had been replaced with something scary and dangerous that was unrecognisable.

Their environment was familiar but so much had changed.

The busy streets were no longer filled with humans but instead had zombies gathered and wandering around.

The passing cars on the roads were no longer there and what was left was several abandoned or crashed cars.

The streets lights and other traces of there being electricity and humans had disappeared leaving behind the streets that was only lit up by the little sun that had shone down through the thick clouds.
