Veron sat on the chair across the one on which Karina sat. He kept his gaze on her, his expression, stoic. It's been three minutes since he sat down but he had said nothing yet, only looking at her.
Tired of the prolonged silence, Karina decided to say something to break the ice.
"You don't look like you are in a good mood." She voiced her observation.
"I am not." Veron agreed without hesitation.
"In that case, I think we should do this tomorrow when you are in a better mood," Karina suggested, feeling slightly disappointed as she has come prepared to start today.
"No. I said we will start today, so we will start today. Don't worry about my mood, it will get better in a short time now." Veron stated, knowing that is exactly what will happen as long as he continued inhaling her calming scent.
Karina hesitated for a while but then decided to believe him. She opened her bag and brought out a small exercise book and a pen, then looked up at him.
