I am no gentleman

"Sorry about what happened earlier." Gideon apologized while they were walking along a hallway.

Since they walked away from the gate, no words had been spoken by either of them until now when he decided to break the silence.

"It's fine. At least I won't have to see his face anymore. But then, everything that happened puts a question in mind." Salma responded, tearing her gaze from the intricately designed walls and beautiful portraits hanging at strategic locations.

"Ask away," Gideon uttered, curious to know what was going on in her mind.

"Do you perhaps do that? I mean, patronize such people?" She dropped the question, and as if suspecting he might misunderstand her or consider her question inappropriate, she added, "You don't have to answer if you don't want to. I'm just curious."

At that point, Gideon couldn't help the small smile that curved on his lips.

"Do you think I do?" He questioned, still walking and looking ahead.
