Salvatore POV
Back in the villa, I walked back into my bedroom with Tristan on my trail. He closed the door and paced up and down deep in thought. I walked to the balcony and took a sit. Tristan joined me after a few minutes. He was worried and I understood why.
“Your Highness, the scent is stronger now,” he huffed. I knew he meant well but I was basking in blissfulness.
“I am going to take a long bath, Tristan,” I drawled.
“As if that will help, Your Highness. I am worried because I know Leonardo will be the first to make a move.” Tristan’s frustrated voice rang in my ears.
“I will find a way to maneuver. Just let me handle this and keep out of it. Pretend you know nothing.”
“No one will believe that I know nothing, Your Highness,” Tristan said in frustration.
“You had better swear on the coven oaths. I don’t care if you will be lying but promise me if it becomes worse, you will stay out of it, Tristan,” I commanded.
