Rowyn had felt that his mate was approaching Elmwood Spring, his wolf had been restless all day and was practically begging him to go find her. He huffed, despite the hurt that they had felt with her turning and fleeing, his wolf had kept saying that it was a mistake, that there was something more going on with her than what she was letting on. But Rowyn knew better than that, his wolf was the more emotional of the two, and the hurt that they had both felt when she ran was enough to last him a lifetime. His wolf had cried for what felt like days afterwards, but the mutt still wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt.
‘Mate is here… We should go find her.’ His wolf pushed gently, a huff coming from Rowyn as he shook his head.
‘We are not doing that, she’ll just run away again. Face it, we tried and she left.’ Rowyn grumbled right back, stuffing his hands inside his pockets as he walked down the street. A growl erupted from his wolf at the notion.
