Zalena felt the questions she had dry up on her tongue as Kairi, her friend, had flitted over to Rowyn and was animatedly chatting his ear off. She could barely register the question Kairi had asked her as her fight or flight instincts were kicking in, and she was opting more for flight this time around. 


“I’m going back to get changed.” She stated as she turned, heading back into the dressing room. 


“But you didn’t answer my question!” Kairi protested, Zalena huffed softly in response, the last interaction with the Alpha replaying in her mind as she ignored Kairi’s protests.
