Chapter 26: An Afternoon Lunch

“I didn’t mark you because you weren’t in the right state of mind.” Rowyn responded easily as he slowly stood to his full height, the sight of him towering before her had Zalena shrinking back slightly. Rowyn took a step back when he realized how it must’ve looked to her.

“But, that doesn’t matter, isn’t that going to bother you and your wolf until you return the gesture?” Zalena questioned, Rowyn merely dismissed it with a wave of his hand. “Rowyn, I’m being serious.” She growled as she followed him back into the bedroom, he sighed softly as she had followed him. A mating mark was meant more than what a wedding ring ever did, it meant they were tied together, mind and soul. If she wanted to, she could communicate with him directly just like how she talked to her wolf. Through her mind, he could do the same, but it also meant they could feel each other’s emotions.
