She took some steps towards him until she was standing face to face with him.
"Didn't I tell you to stay away from me the more the better," he asserted while trying to take some steps backward. But Li Xia was quick, she tiptoed on her feet and wrapped her arms tightly around his neck. He tried to push her away but failed miserably.
"Stop struggling and listen to me for once!" She demanded. She tilted her head back slightly so they could look into each other's eyes.
"Today we must talk!" she smiled with her eyes closed. Her cheeks were flushed red due to the alcohol she had consumed. Her breath smelled strongly of alcohol.
The question is what she was trying to do? Wasn't he telling her to stay away from him?
Her soft lips were so close that he could feel their heat. He could feel how her breath tickled his face. He looked away from her trying to avoid any further distraction from her intoxicating scent.
But this time she cupped his face with her soft palms and forced his gaze to look at her. Her warm delicate skin touched his cold cheeks. His heart skipped a beat at the contact. Her pink plump lips parted slowly.
"Let's talk when you are sober," he replied while fighting against her grip.
He could feel her breath on his face. The sweetness of her breath mixed with the bitterness of her alcohol taste filled his senses. He felt his body becoming numb.
"Nah.... we will talk right now!" she replied while shaking her head in defiance.
"What does this woman want from him? How can she be so strong when drunk?" He wondered.
"Okay...okay. Let's talk," he relented, surrendering his defeat. He didn't have any other option but to listen to her. She smiled triumphantly and loosened her grip on his face.
"Good, very good," she grinned and swayed a bit. Her hands went aimlessly from his face to his shirt collar and gripped it. She then dragged him closer to her face.
"Apologize to me!" Li Xia whispered while looking into his eyes.
Huh? What did she just say? Was this woman seriously asking him to apologize to her?
Her words were enough to make his blood boil in anger. How dare she demand an apology from him!
"This woman has the nerve to ask me to apologize," He thought as he clenched his fists in anger.
"Li Xia, you have got some nerves," he muttered under his breath as his eyes flashed dangerously.
"Apology! Now!" Her sweet voice resonated in his ears. She barely had the strength to stand on her feet but she gripped his shirt collar harder and tighter.
He tried once again to remove her hands but it was useless. She was stronger than he ever thought.
"I said apologies ---- " she suddenly stopped mid-sentence as her stomach churned and antiperistalsis kicked in. She threw up all over him.
He was stunned by the sudden motion. His mouth hung open and his eyebrows furrowed in confusion. This wasn't enough as Li Xia gripped his arm and dragged it towards her mouth to wipe up.
"I feel much better now," she said while smiling brightly. With that, she fell unconscious on him. Her left arm was still around his neck and the right one was still clutched onto his shirt. He was surprised by her reaction.
First, she asked him to apologize and this wasn't enough she puked on him. He never met a woman like her. She was the most self-centered, annoying, crazy, stubborn, and unreasonable person he had ever met.
He tried to wake her up but failed miserably.
After throwing up she passed out and slept soundly on him. He then moved his right arm around her legs and left arm around her waist and pulled her into his embrace.
With that, he opened her apartment with the keys that were in her bag and carried her into her apartment. As soon as he entered he looked around her apartment and saw that it was chaos.
Her clothes, her bags, and her heels were everywhere. There was a stack of packages in the corner of the living room floor.
He moved towards her bedroom and put her on the bed carefully and placed the pillows underneath her head. He then removed her heels and placed them on the ground beside her bed.
"You are a troublesome woman," he muttered as he shook his head in irritation.
"Luo Yuan! you haven't apologized," Li Xia moaned and turned her head sideways so she could sleep comfortably.
Her cheek pressed firmly on the pillow as she tried to get more comfortable. She was so sleepy that the alcohol that she consumed earlier hadn't completely worn her off.
