A Difficult Task

Amy and Blossom cheerfully made their way to the Queen's study while enjoying the sunshine and the flowers. Unlike the other rooms of the castle, the Queen's study had been placed at the back of a garden so that she would be able to enjoy some time off from her royal duties.

"Blossy! You sit here and I'll go and see grandma."

The dog sat down immediately but also remained alert as if looking for threats. Patting his head, Amy reassured the dog and immediately went inside.

"Hello grandma! How are you doing this fine morning?"

Queen Lily looked up from the papers she was reading and smiled as she looked at Amy while pushing up the spectacles," Only you would be able to be so cheery and come her in the afternoon calling it a fine morning. You slept the morning away, little girl!"

"Are you finding fault in me, grandma? Are you not satisfied with your daughter-in-law?" pouted Amy while putting on her pained expression.
