An Imprisonment

As Emilia would have fallen to the ground, King Delroy hurriedly stood up and caught her, helping her to sit. Picking up the glass of water, he carefully held it to her lips. The girl had turned white as a sheet, almost scaring King Delroy with worry.

If Emilia had been in a normal state, she would have been exhilarated at her father's show of care. But at the moment, she was lost in a sea of self-blame. She was the one who was ultimately responsible for ruining everything for Amy.

If she had never been born, her mother would not have been able to enter the Brighton family so easily and dislodge Amy's mother. If she had not listened to her father and convinced Amy to come here, then Amy would not have been caught in this trap. If she had worked harder to understand what Noel had tried to tell her then she could have saved her. She could only blame herself.
