63 – The Star-Filled Backdrop

I stood on the balcony of one of the mayor's rooms, looking out at the city buildings, most of which had turned off the light because it was already night.

I can use the fast-forward feature until tomorrow, when I can teleport to Nueridge to help Lexi. But I want to take a breath. This series of events makes my mind tired.

My ears could hear Xenora's approaching footsteps. She then stood next to me, took my hand, and put her head on my shoulder.

"Can't you sleep, Xenora?" I asked the succubus. "Still thinking about your responsibilities as a general?"

"I'm more worried about you." She sighed. "What can I do to help you relax more?"

I held her hand, feeling the warmth. "Your presence is enough to keep me going, Xenora."

She was silent for a moment, then turned my face to face her.

"We can do it if you want..." She gulped. Her cheeks started to blush. "And I don't mean what you usually do to me. I can serve you however you want…. Just like you used to do with madam Phisovia."
