LITTLE TOWN

I woke up the next morning stretching my arms and legs on the bed before sitting up. I cleaned my eyes with the back of my hands to wipe sleep away from my eyes, my mouth widened as I yawned, before checking up on the man from last night.

His bed space felt cold and arranged like he didn't sleep. I darted my gaze around the little tent in search of him and was relieved when I couldn't find him in the tent either.

I thought everything that happened was a dream, but yet, it was real. Father had given me out for marriage to a demon who wasn't fond of me. He had threatened to kill me and sell me off, but I had no idea why he hadn't yet.
