A LIE 1

I stopped when I got to the last cell in the dungeon, my heart pounding hard against my chest. I wonder what he had changed to that monster.

How could he kill all of those maids?

Rather than seeing a large green monster as I had imagined, father was normal again, sobbing on the floor. He was back to himself but he has been terribly wounded.

"Father." My words came as a whisper as streams of tears ran down my eyes. I felt a tight knot in my chest at the sight of him. No matter what, he was my only family, I wouldn't want anything to happen to him.

"You should go to your husband and kingdom now Lean." He said stoically.

"I..."

"Go away Lean, I don't want to see you." He snapped and a drop of tear fell from the corner of my eye.

His words were hurting. All I wanted was to talk to him, I've never been able to stay this close to him and the only time I did was when he arrived in Granville.

But it seems even till the end, he didn't want to set his eyes on me. He still despised me.
