I'M YOURS

The warmth of the sun was bleeding through my window, and I moaned at the delicious way it heated my skin. I could stay in this moment forever with my eyes still closed and the kiss of the morning welcoming me.

Nothing could touch me here. Not the truth of what the day was to bring. Not the fear that still lay stagnant in my chest.

The fear of the unknown. Of war.

I wanted to forget it, I really wanted to, but I couldn't. If Leviathan hadn't arrived last night I would have been preparing for my wedding with the king. I wondered who he'd pour his frustrations on this time.

Not only had his brother taken me away for the second time, he had touched me in the places he wasn't meant to. He had given my body the satisfaction it had been longing for. He had made me cry out his name and declared belonging to him.
